How Kettlebells Could Help Win the Giants the Super Bowl

By Rob Sutter

Kettlebells aid in making people stronger, faster, and more agile. Everyone knows and accepts this as reality by now. But what some people don't realize is how beneficial these weights and their workouts can be to already elect professional athletes. Take, for example, the New York York Giants, who will be vying for their second Super Bowl championship in lower than five years. They already have supremely conditioned athletes but these unique weights likely could help make them better.

1. Eli Manning - The youthful quarterback of the Giants has proven himself time and time again in clutch situations this season. He has been able to rebound from vicious hits. He has done this by opposing linemen. With the help of kettlebell training, Eli could develop more foot speed and even better stamina.

2. Victor Cruz - Considered to be one of the top-notch guys in the Giants, he is a great wide-receiver and it's not hard to see why the overall offense of the team has been so strong. The team has been helped by Cruz's ability to move about on the field and he's been consistent as far as work rate goes. Kettlebell workouts, much like the skills Cruz possesses, are multi-faceted and this is something that fitness authorities such as Lorna can claim. Who's to say that Cruz can use kettlebells to amp his game? He's already a strong football player and his physical attributes can only become better.

3. Jason Pierre-Paul - Considered to be a great force on the Giants, Pierre-Paul has become a defensive specimen and, as a result, has been considered a star. With 16.5 sacks under his belt, Pierre-Paul has solidified himself in a spot as a cornerstone of the team in the second season. Those who the Giants face off against may want to avoid this man because there's no end to how extensive his sack list can become. Kettlebells can only add on to this man's impressive amount of his strength and improvements to his overall quickness only sweeten the deal.

The New York football Giants, already experiencing a stellar post season, can only hope to add to it in the upcoming days. If the players wanted to, they could incorporate kettlebell training in the off season. These weights can only improve upon their already impressive physical health. If they did, who knows what they likely could accomplish during the 2012 regular season?
